Eight-week closure planned for Garson Dental Clinic

Featured News

Garson Dental Clinic will be closed for eight weeks as it undergoes essential maintenance, NHS Orkney has confirmed.

The Stromness-based clinic will be closed from Monday 24th October until Monday 19th December.

The health authority has informed that, if you have an appointment booked at the Garson dental clinic between these dates, the reception team will contact you shortly. Where possible, and depending on patients’ wishes, NHS Orkney will keep the same appointment date and time, but at Balfour Dental Clinic in Kirkwall.

During this time you can still access dental services by telephoning Garson Dental Clinic on 01856 850658 or telephoning Balfour Dental Service on 01856 888258. If you telephone the clinic it will automatically transfer to Balfour Dental Service where someone a help you.

Jay Wragg, NHSO Director of Dentistry, said: “We understand that traveling to Kirkwall instead of Stromness will entail extra planning for patients, but we are keen to make it as convenient as possible.

“We urge you, if you have any appointments during this time, to ensure that you show up for your appointment and undergo any required treatment.

“We appreciate your cooperation with this and will keep you all updated on progress.”
