The Entrance Examinations Commissioner Office, Housing Board Buildings, Santhi Nagar, Thiruvananthapuram-695001 has invited applications for admission to MDS courses for the year 2022 at state quota seats in colleges Government Dental Colleges of Kerala and all available seats in the Self -Funding Dental Colleges in Kerala.

Admission Eligibility: (a) Academic: Applicant must possess a recognized BDS degree/equivalent and must have obtained permanent registration with the Kerala State Dental Council. Applicants must have completed one year (12 months) of the Mandatory Rotating Resident Internship (CRRI) no later than 31.7.2022. The one-year mandatory rotational residency internship requirement is not applicable to those who passed their final BDS examination in 1988 or earlier, hold a BDS degree from a Dental College recognized by the Dental Board of the India and have obtained provisional or permanent registration from the Kerala State Dental Board. (b) Nativity: Applicant must be an Indian citizen of Kerala descent. Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cardholders will only be considered for NRI seats. Sons/daughters of non-Keralite parents who have completed a BDS degree from any of the dental colleges in the state of Kerala are also eligible. But they will not be eligible for the benefits of communal/special/PD reservations.

Age: There is no upper age limit for General Quota applicants. The upper age limit will be 48 years for applicants for service under the medical education service and 46 years for applicants for service under the quota of health service and insurance medical service, from 2.9.2022.

The candidate must have qualified the National Entrance Eligibility Test for Post Graduate Dental Courses (NEET MDS-2022) conducted by the National Board of Examination, New Delhi, achieving the required percentile cutoff score prescribed as applicable to grade and should be included in the ranking list established by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations.

Selection: Selection will be made from the Ranking List and Category List prepared by the Entrance Exam Commissioner based on the 2022 NEET MDS Ranking List and in accordance with the eligibility provisions contained in the Prospectus of admission to MDS-2022.

The application fee is Rs.1000/- (Rs.500/- for SC/ST applicants). Service quota applicants applying for general merit seats must pay an additional application fee of Rs. 1000/-.

The application fee can be paid either by online payment or in cash at any of the main/sub post offices in Kerala using the e-chalan generated during the online application process.

Service applicants, in addition to applying online, should send a printout copy of the acknowledgment page along with all required documents including their service details to the relevant screening officer as stipulated in clause 11.7 of the prospectus, to be reached no later than 13.09.2022.
